The NWI Bike-N-Brew is the premier bicycling brewery tour of Northwest Indiana. We host fun, laid-back rides while visiting some of the best breweries and beer stops in NW Indiana along the way. Enjoy safe bike trails, cold local beer, great food, patio seating, and great company. Popping wheelies is optional.

About the Rides

The Northwest Indiana Bike-N-Brew is a fun, laid-back ride on a paved bike trail through Northwest Indiana. The Stansard Ride is 14 miles, and our long ride is 24 miles. Average speed is between 10-15 MPH with a few hills/overpasses, street crossings, and brief street riding. Total time riding is around 40 minutes Standard or 2 hours on a long ride, with 3 to 4 hours of relaxing, eating, and drinking great beer.

The $22 participation fee includes the hosted ride, reserved seating, and a complimentary beer at each location (beer options may vary).

All locations are bike-friendly with bike racks and indoor/outdoor seating.

Your ride host will have a first aid kit, a bike repair kit, and expert knowledge of the trails and all crossings.

You do not need an expensive bike or fancy gear to participate. All are welcome!

Fuzzyline Brewing Co.

Opening in 2021, Fuzzyline is right on the bike trail tucked away in historic downtown Highland.

Byway Brewing Company opened in 2016 on the Oxbow Landing at the I-80/94 & Kennedy Ave interchange

18th Street Brewing

18th Street Brewery was founded in 2010, located in downtown Hammond just off the bike trail.

The Standard Ride starts at Fuzzyline in Highland, then up to 18th Street Brewing in Hammond, and then back down to Byway Brewing right on the border of Hammond and Highland.

We will meet at 12 noon on the day of the ride, in the Fuzzyline Parking lot, 2712 Condit St, Highland, IN 46322. It is a quiet private lot with plenty of space. You will be instructed on what spots to take up when you arrive. *You are responsible for your vehicles or any drop-off/pickup arrangements.

The participation fees of $22 are paid up-front. Canceling your registration within 7 days of the ride date will forfeit your registration fee. Refunds may be subject to transition fees.

We will email the group the day before with the ride rundown and all the details.

Should the weather force the ride to be canceled, we will push it to the following weekend.


The Crown Point Ride - 24 miles

This laid-back day ride will take you from Griffith to Crown Brewing in Crown Point, back up to Fuzzyline in Highland, and then back down to Set’em Up in Griffith.

We will meet at 12 noon on the day of the ride, in the 142 S. Broad St parking lot in Griffith, IN. It is a quiet public lot with plenty of space, just north of the tracks and right on the Erie Lackawanna bike trail.
*You are responsible for your vehicles or any drop-off/pickup arrangements.

The participation fees of $22 are paid up-front. Canceling your registration within 7 days of the ride date will forfeit your registration fee. Refunds may be subject to transition fees.

The Calumet Crossbones - 22 miles

This is the Region ride of your dreams! We start at 313 Taproom in Munster, then take the Monon Trail straight up to Standard Taproom in Whiting, then back down, making a stop at 18th St Brewing along the way.

We will meet at 1:45 on the day of the ride, at 313 Taproom at 313 Ridge Rd, Munster, IN. There is a private lot in the rear with plenty of space.

Gear Shop

Rules

- Must be 21 to participate. Must have identification with you at all times.

- You are responsible for paying for all food and drinks you order (excluding one free pour).

- No outside food or drinks while at the breweries.

- No children or pets allowed.

- You must provide your own bike, and bikes must be in proper working order.

- No motorized transportation allowed - scooters, mopeds, or any e-bike not classified as Class 1 or Class 2.

- You must provide your own bike lock.

- Safety gear is highly recommended but not mandatory.

- Reflectors and lights are highly recommended but not mandatory.

- Sun protection is highly recommended but not mandatory.

- Water bottles are highly recommended but not mandatory.


Disclaimer

Assumption of Risk – This event involves bicycling on public roads, visiting breweries, and the optional consumption of alcohol. Participants understand and accept the inherent risks, including but not limited to traffic hazards, road and trail conditions, weather, and personal health risks related to alcohol consumption.

Personal Responsibility – Participants are responsible for their safety, behavior, and well-being throughout the ride. This includes wearing a helmet, obeying all laws, and consuming alcohol responsibly. Participants must use their judgment when consuming alcohol and should not ride if impaired.

Liability Waiver – By joining this event, participants waive and release the organizers, sponsors, breweries, and any affiliated parties from any liability, claims, or damages arising from participation, including injury, loss, or damages to personal property.

Legal Drinking Age – All participants consuming alcohol must be at least 21 years old and prepared to provide valid identification at each brewery. Anyone found providing alcohol to minors will be removed from the event.

Transportation & Alternative Travel – If at any point a participant feels unable to safely continue riding, they are responsible for arranging alternative transportation (e.g., rideshare, taxi, or designated driver). The event organizers do not provide transportation.

Code of Conduct – Participants are expected to behave respectfully toward fellow riders, brewery staff, and the general public. Disorderly, unsafe, or disruptive behavior may result in removal from the event.

Marketing - Participants agree to be photographed, videoed, or quoted for the marketing use of said materials by organizers, sponsors, and breweries. Participants can ask to not be tagged or credited on social media.
